FAQ

Please review these commonly asked questions before messaging your artist directly. Further down this page is info on pre-care, after-care, and our location!

1

How do I book?

Each artist has their own personal booking form. You can find the said forms in each of the artist pages! If you can't decide on a specific artist you can also submit a booking request to Homeroom at the bottom of  the artist tab. However, please keep in mind the turnaround for shop requests will be slower than an artists' personal booking link.

2

How much do you charge?

Every artist charges a different amount for a tattoo and that information is available on their personal booking form. However, the Homeroom shop minimum is $100 and is reserved for tattoos that take around 10 minutes to complete.

3

Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes, however, deposit amounts vary between artists. These are nonrefundable and go towards the total cost of the tattoo. Please be prepared to send your deposit immediately to secure your appointment date.

4

Can I get a tattoo under 18 years old with parental consent?

No, per California Health and Safety Code HSC § 119302 Section 653 of the Penal Code - "A client shall be at least 18 years of age to be offered or to receive a tattoo or permanent cosmetics application, regardless of parental consent."

5

Can I reschedule?

Yes but, if you cannot make your appointment please let your artist know ASAP. Failure to notify the artist at least 48 hours in advance will result in a forfeit of your deposit and a new one must be placed to reschedule. Some situations can be exempt from this.

6

Do you have discounts

Sometimes! Homeroom occasionally hosts flash events with tattoos at a discounted rate, these will mostly be preprinted designs so no customs. However, artists individually will have discounts going on for their tattoos. Visit each artist's Instagram and check their posts to see if there are any deals!

Pre Care

1

For at least three days before leading up to our appointment, please make sure you exfoliate and moisturize the area where you want your tattoo! Also please refrain from consuming alcohol 24 hours prior to your tattoo, alcohol is a blood thinner and makes it much harder for your artist to tattoo well.

2

On the day of your appointment, PLEASE make sure to eat and drink water before getting tattooed! Wear clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area.

After Care

Using Cling Wrap / Spray on Bandage
Cling wrap:

- Leave bandage on for 1-2 hours or overnight. Remove and wash with warm water and unscented soap.

Both cling wrap and spray on bandage:

- Dry heal for the first 2 days (no ointment)

- Wash tattoo 2x a day for 2 weeks with warm water and unscented soap (unscented hand soap or Cetaphil facial cleanser works great)

- Apply oitment very thinly 2x a day or when it feels dry/tight

Using an Adhesive Bandage

- Leave on for up to 3 days

- Bandage will fill with liquids (plasma and think), but this is normal

- Showering and exercising with the bandage on is okay

- After you remove the bandage, apply a thin layer of ointment 2x a day, or if it feels dry/tight

- Wash 2x a day with warm water and unscented soap for 2 weeks

Remove immediately if:

- Liquids leak out of bandage

- Bandage peels up, exposing the tattoo

- Any redness of irritation around the bandage appears

*NO submerging underwater

*NO picking scabs

*NO tight/irritating clothing

*NO direct sunlight

Please contact your artist with any issues or questions.
